Our goal with this program is to help clients prepare long before there is evidence of financial cognitive decline. But what do you do with a client who needs help now?

One type of “difficult client” is the person who has reached an age where he is mentally slipping a bit but cannot acknowledge that fact or grasp its impact on his life. This person often does not want to allow others to help with and eventually take control of their finances.

How do you convince them to accept help? This will take time and patience, and you still may not be successful in getting him to allow others to help. Here are some tips to move the needle forward.
